This Month in IT History
In November of 1984, at the ripe age of 19 Michael Dell had a vision about how technology should be designed, he founded PC’s Limited with $1000 and an idea. By 1985, the Turbo PC was developed, featuring an Intel 8088 processor running at 9MHz, a 10MB hard drive and a 5.25″ floppy drive. In order to stand out in the market the company gave customers risk-free returns and next-day, at-home product assistance, the company was among the first in the industry for that kind of service. In 1988 Dell completes its initial public offering, raising $30 million and increasing market capitalization from $1000 to $85 million after only 4 years. Today, Dell is an American multinational information technology corporation, listed at number 41 in the Fortune 500 list.

This UPS is a great deal right now, and it is always a good time to be proactive with your IT infrastructure.
